**The following resolution was passed by the SREC during their 3rd Quarter 2022 meeting, held September 24th 2022.
WHEREAS, the delegates to the Republican Party of Texas State Convention adopted the 2022 Texas GOP Platform; and
WHEREAS, Plank 234, Caucus Priorities, reads, “We urge the Texas Senate Republican Caucus and the Texas House Republican Caucus to adopt and publish a list of legislative priorities before convening each regular session of the legislature”; and
WHEREAS, the delegates to the 2022 Republican Party of Texas State Convention and Republican voters across Texas expect our Republican elected legislators to take their direction from their constituents, not from House or Senate leadership; now
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Republican Party of Texas calls on the Texas Senate Republican Caucus and the Texas House Republican Caucus to include the 2022-23 Legislative Priorities of the Republican Party of Texas as they prepare their respective Legislative Priorities lists; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Republican Party of Texas urges the Texas Senate Republican Caucus and the Texas House Republican Caucus to adopt and publish their respective lists of Republican priorities prior to the 88th legislature; and
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution shall be distributed to each Republican member of the Texas Legislature, to the Governor, and to the Lieutenant Governor.
