The Tale of Two Political Parties

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair.”

— Charles Dickens, A Tale of Two Cities

Greetings, everyone. I pray you all enjoyed a wonderful and Happy Thanksgiving. I especially pray for those living under the rule of tyrants who sought to dictate the conditions by which you could enjoy your Thanksgiving. Who would have thought of such folly in our time where elected officials would display the arrogance of their officialdom and mandate what Americans could, could not, do in their own homes?

This leads to the focus of this week’s missive.

You can hate his tweets and despise his personality, but there is one thing we can be grateful to President Trump for: he exposed the progressive socialist left. No other Republican could have done what he has done in “smoking out” the left and forcing them out of their dark shadows. President Trump has illuminated the hypocrisy of the so-called Democrat (Socialist) Party and caused the political, cultural, academic, entertainment, and media elites to go completely apoplectic. That is a really smart way to say, “Nuts!”

I know we are all focused on the corruption and fraud perpetrated upon the American people by the Democrats in this 2020 election cycle. However, I want you to ponder this: for all the talk about President Trump being a racist, his reelection campaign received the highest electoral support for a Republican from minorities since Richard Nixon in 1960. That is right, it has been 60 years since a Republican presidential candidate, or sitting president, received such support from American minority communities. That is very telling because the resulting assessment is that there is an electoral reshaping occuring in America.

Think about it: Joe Biden asserted that you weren’t Black if you did not vote for him. And, just this past week, Barack Obama lost his mind in attacking the Hispanic community. Obama stated:

“Those of us who live in DC or New York or LA,” Obama argued, sometimes lack “a good enough sense of how big this country is and how a lot of folks do not accept at all” policies that people living in larger metropolitan areas take for granted. People were surprised about a lot of Hispanic folks who voted for Trump, but there’s a lot of evangelical Hispanics who, you know, the fact that Trump says racist things about Mexicans, or puts detainees, undocumented workers in cages. They think that’s less important than the fact that he supports their views on gay marriage or abortion,” he explained.”

It would appear that former President Obama is back to his disparaging attitude towards those simple Americans who “cling to their guns and religion.” Yeah, I am one of those simple Americans. And, I am also a Black man, VP Biden.

It was not too long ago that, in the age of Obama — truly an age of foolishness, not wisdom — that headlines claimed “We Are all Socialists Now.” There were predictions that the Republican Party was going the way of the Whig Party. Nothing could be farther from the truth, as we have ascertained from this 2020 election cycle.

It is the Democrat Party brand that is tarnished. It is a party of leftist elites. It is a party that has fully embraced socialism, Marxism, and totalitarianism.

Two weeks ago, when Antifa thugs assailed peaceful Trump supporters in Washington DC, you heard not a word from Democrats. And, even now, as more and more evidence — yes, evidence — is presented that proves beyond reasonable doubt that there was fraud in this election cycle, the Democrats remain defiant, and delusional, in their dismissal.

The Democrat Party has become the party of fascism aligning themselves with a corrupt media and social media to suppress information, and its exchange, they do not like. The Democrat Party has become the party of the “dark winter,” instead of the party of light. Their facade of “hope and change” is nothing more than a retread of failed lefitst rhetoric that has been witnessed in the Soviet Union, Cuba, and Venezuela.

As a new electorate is shapes Republican Party, the Democrats are descending into an ideological abyss that is antithetical to the fundamental principles and values of our Constitutional Republic. One only has to gaze into the eyes of the deranged Senator Chuck Schumer who said, “first we change Georgia, then we change America/” Well, the left thought that they could change Texas and  “flip” it blue. We said no.

Our Republican Party of Texas was established on July 4, 1867 by 150 Black men. At the same time, the Democrats were establishing the Ku Klux Klan. Today, they have Antifa and BLM doing the same thing, enacting threats, intimidation, coercion, and violence in order to suppress individual rights.

When one examines the tale of the two political parties in America, we easily understand which one has been the party of racism, Jim Crow, segregation, and lynching. If you do not believe that, just watch the documentary, “Uncle Tom.”

The Democrat (Socialist) Party in America is one of foolishness, darkness, despair, corruption, delusion, and violence. That is why I find it unconscionable that Republicans, anywhere, would seek to offer any compromise, acquiescence, appeasement to the party of socialism, Marxism, and fascism.

Republicans were overwhelmingly successful in this election cycle because people rejected leftism. It is now time for Republicans to stand strong, and impose a constitutional conservative will upon those who would “fundamentally transform” our nation.

God granted King Solomon immense wisdom and discernment. Solomon wrote in Proverbs 29:2 (NIV), “When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan.”

The Republican Party must govern with righteousness according to our rule of law, our Constitution. The Democrat (Socialist) Party has proven that they seek to rule using the wicked means of intrusive and intolerant authoritarianism, and totalitarianism.

President Donald Trump has given America the best of times…let’s not allow the Democrats to lead us back into the worst of times. Heck, we had eight years of that under Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

Steadfast and Loyal,

LTC Allen B. West (Ret.)
Chairman
Republican Party of Texas
