Austin, TX, Release: April 23, 2021 For Immediate Release

TXGOP Chief Operating Officer Kyle Whatley will be leaving his post after 5-and-a-half years of tireless service. Mr. Whatley was with the Party through 3 different chairmen and his departure will be felt by all.

Below is part of Kyle Whatley’s statement on his departure:

“I have been afforded an opportunity with a start-up marketing and public relations firm. This opportunity is not only incredibly exciting, but it is the right thing for my family’s future. It is not a decision I made lightly. I love the Party and the people I work with. But I have to do what is best for me and my family. That said, I remain committed to the mission and look forward to continuing to work with all of you towards our shared goal of freedom, opportunity and conservative values for our state and nation.”

Chairman West’s statement:

“I want to congratulate Kyle Whatley on his exciting new opportunity, and I expect him to be as beneficial to this new organization as he was to ours. Everyone at the Republican Party of Texas will feel his absence, and he will be missed. Brandon Moore, who has been with the party for almost 4 years, will become our new COO. He has big shoes to fill, but we know he will rise to the occasion. The Party is in good hands with him in this leadership position.”

Mr. Whatley will depart in early May. The entire Party wants to extend Kyle a humble thank you for his years of service.
