The Republican Party of Texas Mourns the Passing of Ross Perot

DALLAS, TX – Former candidate for President and notable philanthropist, Ross Perot, passed away today after a short battle with leukemia. Perot was 89 years old. Republican Party of Texas Chairman James Dickey commented:

“The Republican Party of Texas joins those today mourning the passing of fellow Texan, Ross Perot. Ross Perot’s business success was a testament to what is possible in America and his dedication to philanthropy is an extraordinary example of compassion for our fellow man. His was a life of service to our troops, his community in Dallas, and those in need. His legacy lives on through his personal and professional work, his family, the Natural History Museum in Dallas and The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center among countless other endeavors. He will always be remembered for his tenacious and unrelenting drive and passion. We extend our sincere condolences to his family.”
