Texas Supreme Court Upholds State Mail-in Ballot Laws

AUSTIN, TX – Today, the Texas Supreme Court upheld Texas state law regarding mail-in ballots which will prevent any major changes to our election process as a result of COVID-19.

Republican Party of Texas Chairman James Dickey commented:

“We are grateful that the Texas State Supreme Court upheld the laws as passed and took action to protect the full weight of every valid vote. While the Democrats did their best to take advantage of this crisis in Texas, they were not victorious. Republicans have been and will continue to be dedicated to ensuring a fair and transparent process for all Texas voters.

“Any changes made to our elections process must be made with great care to ensure fairness and transparency in the process, to protect the full weight of every valid vote, and duly voted on in the legislative process.”
